The February weather in San Diego is usually good, but even if it rains, it will be much nicer than most of the rest of the country.

Planning is currently underway on speakers, labs, tours, koi show, vendor exhibits, cocktails, et alia. If you would like to influence any of this, contact one of the chairmen, above.

Tours

Thursday

City Tour (Morning)
The City Tour has a professional guide who will tell us about the fascinating history of Old Town, La Jolla (weather permitting), Hotel Del Coronado, Gaslamp Quarter of Downtown San Diego, Balboa Park and the Embarcadero. The City Tour bus arrives at the hotel at 8:30am, and leaves at 9:00am, and lasts until approximately noon, when they drop us back at the hotel. Before the hotel, the tour bus stops at the zoo and Balboa Park for those who want to spend the afternoon there. A Koi Club of San Diego member will accompany them at the zoo and Balboa Park and both groups will be picked up at 5:00pm to return to the hotel.

All day tours
Midway-Embarcadero-Seaport Village:
The USS Midway and Maritime Museum includes a self- guided audio tour. You can work your way over to Seaport Village and enjoy the shops, restaurants and aquatic views of San Diego Harbor and the Coronado Bridge. This tour starts in the morning and lasts all day. A Koi Club of San Diego member will accompany this tour.
Zoo: The World Famous San Diego Zoo. Come see the pandas and other rare animals at this first-class zoo. The zoo entrance fee includes a 35-minute narrated bus tour covering the entire zoo, unlimited use of the express bus, unlimited use of the Aerial Tram Ride and free admission to the Children's Zoo. A Koi Club of San Diego member will accompany all tours.
Sea World: Can't miss the Shamu show which has come a long way since the 1960's. You will be moved by the interaction between these killer whales and humans. Visit sea lions, porpoises, penguins, sharks, tide pools, aquariums, etc. A Koi Club of San Diego member will accompany this tour.
