All the elected officers were reelected at the June meeting. (This tends to happen in alternate years.) The appointed officers will be appointed at the June 17 Steering Committee meeting.

H.R.669 (Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act) is in committee in the House of Representatives. It applies to a large number of species, including koi. If passed, it would prohibit importation, carrying across state lines, breeding, sale or barter, or possession (except for those owned lawfully prior to the planned prohibition).

Nominations are now open for all elected offices. Nominations may be mailed to the Nominating Committee Chairman [Susi Woods] in sufficient time to be received prior to May 1st. See the bylaws.
